It is with great sadness that I have to announce that Kintyre History & TV Archive (KHTVA) has been permanently shut down.
Unfortunately, our channel was terminated by YouTube following copyright action initiated by the British Film Institute (BFI). Rather than contacting me directly to discuss or resolve the issue, the matter went straight through YouTube, resulting in the loss of the entire channel.
As many of you know, KHTVA was never about money or monetisation — I never earned a penny from it. It was created out of love for British history and a desire to preserve and share it with others. Over time, it grew into a wonderful, supportive community of people who shared a passion for archive films, documentaries, and the stories of the past.
I am just one person behind this project, and this outcome has been devastating. It all happened so suddenly, and it truly breaks my heart to see it end this way.
To everyone who watched, supported, commented, and encouraged me — thank you. Your kindness and enthusiasm meant the world, and I’ll always be grateful for the community we built together.
If anyone wishes to get in touch, you can still reach me at:

Thank you for being part of KHTVA. This may be the end of the channel, but the memories, passion, and love for history will always remain.
With gratitude,
KHTVA Admin
